The Shmeetings App
The Shmeetings desktop application processes all audio, transcriptions, and meeting summaries locally on your Mac. No data leaves your computer. We have no servers that receive your meeting data, no cloud processing, and no telemetry in the app. Your recordings, transcripts, and summaries remain entirely under your control.
What We Collect on This Website
Contact Form
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This form is processed by Netlify, our website host. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry.
Purchases
When you purchase Shmeetings, the transaction is handled entirely by LemonSqueezy, our payment processor. We receive your name and email address to deliver your license. We do not see or store your credit card information or other payment details—LemonSqueezy handles all of that directly.
Website Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across sites. It collects only aggregate, anonymous data such as page views, referral sources, browser type, and country. No individual visitor can be identified. Plausible is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring a cookie consent banner.
How We Use Your Data
We use the limited data we collect to:
- Respond to your contact form submissions
- Deliver your software license after purchase
- Understand how visitors use our website in aggregate (via Plausible)
We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing emails unless you've opted in. We do not share your information with third parties beyond the service providers listed above.
